Product bundling and booklist plug-in Documentation
Overview: Do you have a business that lends itself to the creation of customizable lists, kits or product bundles? Imagine back-to-school lists for specific grades at specific schools - with built-in functionality so parents can decrease or increase quantities. Or, as in the demo, perhaps you have an outdoor business and you want to help new campers or advanced rock climbers buy from a pre-defined list.
This plugin can increase your average order value whilst making it super-easy for defined types of customers to buy what they need (and more) from you. The extra value this plugin adds is the ability to assist your ERP with extracting the correct SKU’s. Without it, the SKUs of the linked products in the bundle are only added to the cart as text, so your ERP can’t recognize them. This plugin adds the SKUs of the linked products into the cart individually, so your ERP can use the data for fulfillment and inventory purposes.
Features:
The merchant can set up bundles, booklists or product kits with lists of products linked to that bundle
The customer can include or exclude linked products from a pre-defined list of linked products according to their needs. The bundle price then automatically updates.
The customer can change the pre-set quantities of the linked products, which also automatically changes the bundle price.
The plugin allows for prices to be adjusted, so customers get products at a special price if they are purchased as part of a bundle.
There are two big features found nowhere else:
When the bundle is added to a shopping cart, standard versions add the bundle SKU but the individual product SKUs are only added to the cart as text – and an ERP (or other systems) cannot use text. This plugin instead adds the SKUs of the individual products in the bundle to the cart, so your ERP and accounting or inventory integrations can automatically pull this SKU information.
This plugin makes it possible for the merchant to duplicate individual products in different bundles. So the sleeping bag you have in the Camping Starter Kit can be used in the Rock Climbing Starter Kit too.
Creating product bundles manually can be time consuming. An important feature here is that this plugin allows the merchant to create bundles or booklists in a spreadsheet, and then upload the spreadsheet to NopCommerce. This saves a lot of time and effort, especially if you have long lists.
This plugin is very popular with customers who want to create booklists or stationery kits and who integrate their e-commerce site to their ERP.
